Paris is one of my favourite cities in the world. In fact, it might just be my absolute favourite. Although this was my third time visiting, it was my first time visiting as a full-time Instagrammer/blogger. Needless to say I was very excited to take photos.
During our last visit, we spent the best part of a week in Paris in December. We watched the sunrise behind the Eiffel Tower, after which we spotted a Citroen 2CV parked below. I didn’t know there was such a thing as a private 2CV Paris tour. After discovering the tour’s existence that day, I had my heart set on experiencing one on our next visit.
I won’t lie, we decided to visit Paris in October so we could see the halloween decorations in Disneyland. And they did not disappoint. On the second day of our visit, Parisi Tour came to our hotel to collect us for some sightseeing. We bundled into a little blue and white Citroen 2CV called Jacqueline, complete with sunroof.
I am always amazed at how people can drive in Paris without crying. The number of busy roads, roundabout without lanes, honking cars and cyclists/mopeds is a tad overwhelming for me. Luckily our driver, Quentin, knew how to handle the roads, and we were zipping between attractions in no time at all.
We had a flight later that afternoon, so only had an hour to explore Paris with Quentin the guide and Jacqueline the Citroen. Having walked between attractions before, I was pleasantly surprised by how much we managed to see in one hour. We stopped at a few narrow and picturesque roads, the university, the river Seine (we literally drove to the edge of the river), the Louvre, and finally Montmartre and La Maison Rose.
When we weren’t taking photos, we were chuckling in the back seats as Quentin cracked jokes, singing to French music, and listening as he told us about his city.
This was the absolute best tour I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been on a fair few. Thank you Parisi Tour for the wonderful experience.
